Aspen, Colorado

Aspen has long been one of the world’s most glamorous ski resorts with its picturesque ski slopes and high-end boutiques. The only 5-star hotel is The Little Nell where Bella Hadid, Kyle Richards, Kate Hudson and dozens of other celebrities stay, but you can also see them around the resort, dining at Matsuhisa or having a drink at the famous J-Bar.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai’s a great place to spot A-listers including Justin Bieber, the Beckhams and Nicole Scherzinger. The city is famous for its luxury resorts where you can have your own private butler services at the Atlantis Palm Resort or gold-plated luxury at the over-the-top Burj Al Arab hotel.

Gstaad, Switzerland

An international jet-set destination, this tiny village resort in Switzerland is famous for hosting royalty at the Gstaad Palace. The area is not the best skiing area, but the apres-ski activities and window shopping at the boutiques lining the main street make up for this.

Croatia

Celebrities have flocked to Croatia over the past couple of years, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. DiCaprio stayed on the island of Korcula, and was often seen strolling down Stradun in the historical centre of Dubrovnik. Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again (the sequel to Mamma Mia due to bereleased in summer 2018) has been filmed on the Croatian island of Vis.

Wakaya, Fiji

This one is out of budget for all but those with the largest wallets. One of the world’s most luxurious resorts can be found on the Fijian island of Wakaya. Previous guests paying for privacy include Bill Gates, Keith Richards, Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. It costs USD2,000 per night in a traditional villa, or USD7,600 per night on one of the island’s 1,100 square-metre royal suites.

Jamaica

This was the place where Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were seen very much together, although they were soon to say they were “on a break”. Bieber was there for his father’s wedding in Montego Bay, which has upscale resorts like Round Hill. Rita Ora, Winnie Harlow and Hailey Baldwin are also fans of Jamaica as a holiday destination.

Ashley Graham was spotted on the beach at Negril whilst on holiday. Jamaica is where author Ian Fleming wrote his James Bond novels in the Fifties and Sixties and you can rent small villas close to his old home. At the Goldeneye Resort you might meet Johnny Depp, Sting, Scarlett Johansson, Bono or Kate Moss enjoying a martini at the bar.

French Riviere

The Cote D’Azur was the favourite holiday spot for iconic guests including Brigitte Bardot and Elizabeth Taylor, at a time when the word ‘celebrity’ was not yet used. Kate Moss, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are just some of the celebrities who head to the French Riviera to enjoy its fine dining, stunning beaches and glamorous hotels, including the Hotel du Cap, a celebrity favourite. You could be sharing a hotel corridor with Jennifer Lopez, Johnny Depp or Cate Blanchett. For ultimate luxury head to St Tropez, the millionaire’s playground of super-yachts.

Ibiza

Famous for its megaclubs and attracting pleasure seekers from around the world, Ibiza is party capital, enticing musicians such as P Diddy and Kylie Minogue, but also premier league soccer players and plenty of others. Whilst Ibiza has a reputation for being rowdy, some of the scenery is striking and there are deserted beaches, perfect for a sunset stroll.

The Hamptons, USA

Probably the most prime of prime real estate in the US, The Hamptons was once considered to be the homes of those so rich they didn’t need to go to work on Monday. What were once the residences of New York’s old money have been joined by the younger monied generation, from New York designers like Ralph Lauren, as well as stockbrokers and movie stars. Steven Spielberg, Jerry Seinfeld and Martha Stewart all own properties here.

Sveti Stefan, Montenegro

Montenegro’s stunning coastline is no longer a secret, and the tiny, gorgeous island of Sveti Stefan is its biggest draw. For centuries it was a simple fishing community, now it’s a luxury hotel. It became popular with the rich and famous, from Sofia Loren to the Queen, before fading in the 1990s because of political conflict in the region. The resort reopened in 2009 and is a wonderful destination for a beach holiday between March and September.
